The police have arrested a 43-year-old man in Himare, who is suspected of using his 18-year-old roommate for prostitution.
Also, in the framework of this operation, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings were initiated in a free state for the 18-year-old woman who practiced this criminal activity, against payment, as well as for another citizen suspected of being involved in this criminal activity.
The work continues for the identification and prosecution of other citizens involved in this case.
"The police operation coded "Case" is finalized for the crackdown on a case of criminal activity of prostitution. The operation, the result of a several-week investigation with proactive methods, carried out by the specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes of the Himar Police Station, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of Vlora.
He used his 18-year-old co-habitant for prostitution, the 43-year-old was caught and put in handcuffs. The 18-year-old woman and 1 other citizen suspected to be involved in this criminal activity are being processed at large.
From a several-week investigation with proactive methods, carried out by the specialists of the Crime Investigation Section of the Himarë Police Station, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of Vlora, evidence was provided for a case of criminal activity of prostitution. On the basis of these evidences, the coded police operation "Case" was finalized, in the framework of which the following citizen was arrested in the act:
KP, 43 years old, resident of Borsh, Hmarë. This citizen is suspected of using his 18-year-old roommate for prostitution.
Also, in the framework of this operation, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings were initiated in a free state for the 18-year-old woman who practiced this criminal activity, against payment, as well as for another citizen suspected of being involved in this criminal activity.
The work continues for the identification and prosecution of other citizens involved in this case. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Vlora, for further actions," the police announced.
