These are the last images of 51-year-old Valbon Beqiraj, before he was stabbed to death last Wednesday morning in Durrës. As seen in the video provided by TV Klan, the victim, who is carrying a bag in his hand, heads towards his apartment at around 09:30 in the morning. In his hand he has his mobile phone, with which he is communicating via messages.
Sources close to the investigation group have stated that at that moment he was exchanging messages with the perpetrator of the crime, TT. Just a few minutes later, the latter went to the victim's apartment, where he is suspected of having a conflict with her, and then stabbed her several times, leaving her dead.
After committing the crime, cameras in the area captured the perpetrator walking away. He walked quietly and held a cloth in his hand, trying to cover his face.
It was precisely these images, as well as the messages on the victim's cell phone, that helped investigators solve the serious crime, where in addition to the perpetrator, a friend of his who sent him to the apartment by taxi was also arrested.
Both of them have been remanded in custody by the Durrës Court. According to investigations by the prosecution and police of this city, the incident occurred for weak motives, with the perpetrator having gone to the victim's apartment to buy narcotics.
