European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reiterated the position of the European Union, condemning the attack on the Kosovo police in Banjska on September 24.
Asked by the media about the stance that the EU will take towards Serbian aggression in the North, Von der Leyen emphasized that the EU has requested a detailed investigation regarding what happened on September 24 and only after the results of these investigations will it come out with a decision. for Serbia.
"We condemn the attack on September 24. At the moment we are evaluating the facts. We have to wait for the end of the investigation and based on it we will decide what the next step will be," Von der Leyen said .
Meanwhile, the German chancellor emphasized the same thing while adding that the attack on the police forces of Kosovo is something that the EU and Germany do not accept.
"I would just say briefly that we really condemn the attack that happened in Kosovo. It is something that many will never accept, it is something very clear that the EU and all countries and Germany are very clear on that point. Also we we ask for cooperation between the countries that support these investigations. It is very important, we are cooperating with the Kosovo authorities and what is happening is something very good. I think I should add that the situation of peace development in the Western Balkans needs for the understanding of all countries and will work if they are not haunted by the past but look to the future. This is the reason we support North Macedonia and Bulgaria. This is the issue we are working on. In the Kosovo-Serbia issue there are many points to be achieved," said Scholz.
