The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted to claims about a possible agreement between him and Prime Minister Edi Rama, describing them as propaganda and an attempt to rehabilitate the image of the head of government.
In a conversation with citizens, Berisha stated that these accusations aim to create the perception that political opponents are the same, while emphasizing that there is no fact that supports these comparisons.
"Now that he has been unmasked before Albanians and the world, he says that Berisha is just like Rama, at a time when they cannot provide a single argument, a single fact that can compare these two people. In nothing and in no fact," he said.
Berisha also stated that Rama has failed to defeat him politically and has used various methods to attack him.
"Edi Rama cannot defeat Sali Berisha, he tried in every way, to archive politically, he tried with physical attacks, in every way, he failed and will fail," he said.
Berisha described the claims about an agreement as unfounded, calling them part of a "primitive logic."
He further accused the prime minister of controlling the media and attempting to manipulate public opinion. In conclusion, Berisha challenged critics to present concrete evidence for the comparisons between him and the prime minister.
"It is a primitive logic according to which Edi Rama arrested Sali Berisha, but did not arrest him. According to which Edi Rama lobbied with all his money for the sanctioning of Sali Berisha, but did not do so. What is happening, why this propaganda?
They want to glorify the tarnished image of Edi Rama, to compare the incomparable. This is true, but I have told Albanians that the mafia more dangerous than the cocaine mafia is the mafia of free speech, and Rama has it in his hands.
