The inaugural meeting of the Peace Board began today, an initiative introduced by United States President Donald Trump as a platform for international cooperation aimed at ending conflicts.
In his opening remarks, Trump greeted the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, and the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, thanking them for their participation and contribution.
" Today we are honored to be joined by Prime Minister Edi Rama... President Osmani of Kosovo, thank you too, you made a remarkable contribution. Thank you ," Trump said.
The American President described the Peace Board as one of the most important initiatives undertaken, emphasizing that it has involved numerous organizations and individuals with the aim of resolving long-standing conflicts.
" We have had a very good relationship and I have become friends with many people. I appreciate you being here, proud that this was an open meeting. These leaders have become extraordinary friends of mine. We built our country and now we are at the point where the US is not the same as before ," he declared.
Trump also highlighted economic achievements during his term, citing the growth of financial markets and the performance of the US economy.
" We are doing a very good job. The Peace Board is one of the most important things. There are many organizations involved, people with whom we have worked together to end wars. Some wars were 32 years long, we ended them in two days, but we still have work to do ," he said.
Referring to the situation in the Middle East, Trump described Gaza as a "complex" issue, while praising the work of his aides.
" Gaza is complex, but Kushner and Wittkoff have done a wonderful job. I have the best team ever assembled ," he added.
