The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a statement to the media after the meeting with Christian Forneck, advisor for foreign and security policy to the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag, focused on the operations undertaken to crack down on call centers in Tirana.
He stressed that it is concerning that Albania is a country where European pensioners are being cheated, while the European Union has financially supported the country over the years.
The leader of the DP, among other things, emphasized that call centers are patronized by the government.
"Every week a European country comes to arrest criminals in call centers. Because all CCs are under the patronage of the state, Olsi Rama, Armand Josifi who runs them from Dubai, etc. They are turning Albania into a shameful black hole of stealing pensioners from those countries that have given billions to Albania ," he said.
