Prime Minister Edi Rama will hold an extended meeting with cabinet ministers and the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party this Monday, April 27, at 11:00. The meeting is scheduled to be held at the Brigades Palace.
During the meeting, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha and Chief Negotiator Majlinda Dhuka are expected to report on the progress of the European integration process. Their reporting will focus mainly on Chapter 24, which relates to issues of justice, freedom and security.
The meeting comes at a time when the government has submitted to the Parliament the report on the progress of the accession process, while Albania awaits the approval of the IBAR interim points, which are considered key for advancing towards the closure of the negotiation chapters.
In addition to European integration, the meeting is expected to discuss other issues related to the coordination of government work, the drafting of legal initiatives, as well as the Socialist Party's political strategy on the eve of local elections.
