The meeting of the Electoral Reform Commission started with strong debates, where the opposition MPs did not allow it to take place, using whistles to create noise, just like in the Assembly.
Socialist MPs entered the hall where the meeting of the Electoral Reform Commission was scheduled to be held.
Bardhi and Berisha MPs have blocked the hall and occupied the chairs and this has provoked a debate with the majority.
Damian Gjiknuri asked for the chairs to be freed and when it was not possible he told them "have a good day".
Gjiknuri: Does the opposition want electoral reform? Do you want or not? Vacate the place.
Vokshi: You don't appoint us the co-chairman.
After this debate, the socialists left the hall.
"What are we paid for, what do we come here for", Ervin Salianji can be heard saying, addressing Damian Gjiknuri.
Meanwhile, Basha's group did not appear.
We remind you that the PD MPs demand the remaking of the Electoral Reform Commission, and that Oerd Bylykbashi be the chairman and have another member, a request that has not yet been examined.
OSCE/ODIHR has called on the main parties in the country to find the language of dialogue and engage in the implementation of reforms in order to resolve any issues related to the electoral process in Albania. The ambassador of the mission in Tirana Clarisse Pasztory met last week the head of the DP group Gazment Bardhi as well as the two co-chairs of the "Electoral" Commission.
While Gjinkuri and Alibeaj requested the attachment of international experts to help the work of this commission, Bardhi accused them saying that the resumption of work is a facade. He told the media that the democrats initially trusted Alibeaj, but he did not fulfill his duty.
