Analyst Ben Andoni says that former prime minister Sali Berisha sets a precedent for disrespecting the law.
In an interview for "Ora e Fundi" on ABC News, Andoni said that Berisha tried to evade justice.
Andoni added that the head of the official Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, as well as certain MPs from the Pulpit will vote in favor of Berisha's arrest.
"When he is in front of justice, he uses bad rhetoric, he has tried to avoid it with absurd things, saying incredible things and other interpretations. His confrontation with the law has shown that Mr. Berisha is almost a feature of our political philosophy, he has not yet been accommodated with the justice system. The ultimate precedent is not to know, not to love, and not to respect the justice system. For characters like Berisha, there are always interpretations of the proceedings. He himself has shown us with the political philosophy he represents, that he does not respect the law. I am afraid that this precedent will also be for politicians in the future.
The Reestablishment Group already has two goals, the first is the pragmatic goal, to make a real confrontation with the situation, the second is the moment of December 27, when the seal will be decided. If the decision will be for the legal party, Mr. Berisha's group will not respect it. The Reestablishment Group had the opportunity to represent a kind of prudence, they had to avoid Mr. Berisha. The assembly had to be left after the clarification of Mr. Berisha's situation and after the legalization of the seal of the Democratic Party. The Reestablishment Group is showing that it has no political smell and depends on the interests of Mr. Berisha", he emphasized.
According to analyst Andoni, there will be no union between Bardhi and Basha, as the latter and other Rithemelim MPs will vote in favor of Berisha's arrest.
"I don't believe it, apparently, Mr. Bardhi did not really buy, Berisha made the law in that party, Basha understood Mr. Berisha's management mechanism. The legal party has a parochialist logic, but more modern. Mr. Basha has lost his base and this is a great loss. Undoubtedly, I believe that there will also be individuals from Re-establishment who will vote in this way. Berisha has been open, the things he wants from SPAK, the legislators should make way for him", underlined the analyst.
Regarding a possible union of Lulzim Basha with Argita Malltezi, if she takes over the leadership of Reestablishment from her father, Andoni had this answer: "No, this is impossible, if this happens, the Democratic Party, the biggest blow will receive it from the Reestablishment. For me, Berisha has not worked politically for a long time."
For the EU-Western Balkans Summit held in Brussels, Andoni stated that the European Union used as a pretext Greece's claim for Albania, which is related to the Beleri case.
"I was very impressed, two days before the results of the summit were known. Greece's part is made to justify itself, this is the decision of the European Union. There was a better predisposition for Ukraine and Moldova than for Albania and other countries that are closer to the European Union. It is a great paradox. It's just done to buy time. It will be necessary for the European Union to include the two Slavic countries, Montenegro and Serbia, which unfortunately have stalled and cannot change the modalities. Albania is the only country that does not have a conflict. "Greece has been used as a pretext, the European Union will gain time and it will take time," concluded analyst Andoni.
