Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha said that two of the people arrested for yesterday's protest were tourists and, according to him, had no connection to the protest.
Berisha said that “one of them told me that I am the son of a KLA fighter.” He has demanded their immediate release and also calls on the police not to touch any protestor.
"10 have been detained, of which 4 have been arrested. These two of them are Kosovars, tourists who came and were arrested by the police as soon as they found out that they were Kosovars in order to accuse the citizens of Kosovo of participating in the protests. The truth is that these two came as tourists. They were here after the protest, if I'm not mistaken. They took pictures. One told me that I am the son of a KLA fighter. I took pictures with him. I demand their immediate release and warn the police not to touch the protesters because they are fighting against thieves of the nation and criminals on duty," said Berisha.
