After rumors of involvement in Albanian politics, Lea Ypi closes the door and flees to London
The internationally renowned Albanian philosopher and academic, Lea Ypi, has left Albania after several days of isolation and media noise that placed her at the center of political speculation.
Rumored as a possible name for a caretaker government, or even as a successor to Edi Rama, Ypi has reacted today with a public statement, giving a clear message: she has no intention of becoming 'part of the Albanian political scum'.
" Goodbye Albania. I have left the mud of slander and the dust of biographical, ideological, geopolitical, social, material and other conspiracies that my ears and eyes have heard about myself these days, at the door ," Ypi writes in a reaction where irony, disappointment and elegance mix in a message that quietly closes a visit that was permeated by many voices.
During her stay in the country, Lea Ypi has held several public meetings and has been welcomed by readers, young people, students and intellectuals of different generations. It was she who left open the possibility of entering politics and was touted as a suitable figure to lead the government: either as a technical prime minister, or as "Rama's successor" in the event of a transition.
Ypi, in her status, describes these allusions as part of a reality that is "fed by emptiness," highlighting the contrast between the "mud of slander" and the emotions of meetings with citizens.
" But the emotions of these days' meetings with hundreds of real people, readers of all generations, political persuasions, historical experiences, with so many questions, remarks, comments, criticisms, encouraging words, young men and women with the courage to look each other in the eye and face each other without hiding behind all sorts of pseudonyms and carnival masks, our exchanges about the fates of the world and this village of ours, the recesses of history, the light that art sheds in search of truth - I carry all of this with me ," she writes.
Through her deep and symbolic language, she hints that she is not ready to become part of the Albanian political theater. Instead of direct answers, Ypi chooses to leave with a philosophical reflection: “ I have the impression that the world today resembles the Minotaur's labyrinth where everyone seeks salvation from visible and invisible monsters. Perhaps each of us holds a piece of Ariadne's thread in our hands, it is enough for hands to join and people to rediscover the meaning of being human. Thank you to all those who shook my hand in this Albanian corner of the labyrinth .”
Lea Ypi, the renowned professor of philosophy, namely materialism, at the London School of Economics, has become a best seller for years with her biographical books. She presents these works not only in Great Britain, but in almost all major European centers: France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, etc.
These presentations have had particular importance in academic environments and the political establishment of the European left.
Meanwhile, the most important British and European media, from The Guardian, Observer, Le Figaro, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Corriere della Sera, etc., have written extensively this year about the biography of a rising star of the global left, who comes from a family of noble origin, persecuted during the communist regime.
Ypi is also a member of the British Academy and part of a European intellectual center where global leftist thought is shaped. / Pamphlet

Të ishim mërzitur kaq shpejt me tërë ato probleme dhe sharje të shpeshta, do kishte mbetur Shqipëria bosh tani. Nuk është shembulli i duhur apo zgjidhje të postosh një shfryrje edhe pse mund të kesh të drejtë, por të përpiqesh dhe të luftosh për atë që beson se do sillje në Shqipëri. nje delirante, po cfare kontributi ka dhene kjo qe do te behet e para e ketij vendit.
Sa keq qe ne ,banoret e ngelur ne Shqiperi, akoma vijojme me semundjen e vjeter ndaj me te spikaturvet. Perse akoma kerkojme me kembengulje te " jemi te barabarte ne padije", dhe te diturit ti lincojme. Sa keq qe vetem mbasi i " vrasim apo i kryqezojme", mbas vdekjes e kuptojme se sa te ndricuar kane qene, ndersa ne endeshim ne kenaqesine e padijes tone " ndricuese". Merni mundimin dhe lexoni, ashtu me stermundimin qe don ndricimi i mendjes", librat e Leas. Merni mundimin qe para se ta kryqezoni nje njeri, te mesoni se cfar thone ata me te cilet punon dhe medon Lea. Atehere do ta kuptoni ju o komentues qe " vijoni ta masni hijen tuaj me diellin e mengjesit", se hija ju genjen, dhe ekzistenca juaj eshte ne nivel " gjallesash", dhe jo si homo sapiens. Sa keq qe semundja lulezon nder ne. Vec drite e diturise perpara do na shpjere". Mesoni nga te diturit, largojuni padijes dhe hijes se mengjesit.
