Electoral reform is currently the main issue of discussion among the main political forces in the country.
The opposition continues to accuse the majority of blocking this reform, and in this context the Secretary of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, Arbi Agalliu, has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of not wanting the reform to take place. According to him, this is because a reform of the electoral system would bring down Rama's vote-stealing scheme.
"Rama is not interested in Electoral Reform because he has set up the vote stealing scheme. The reform proposed by DP increases the honesty of those who enter the Assembly. We have seen gangs entering the polling stations", Agalliu said.
However, accusations of blocking the reform are also thrown among the democrats themselves.
Agalliu has accused the Berisha-Bardhi duo of lying when they say they are in the minority within the reform commission.
"The debate on the electoral reform was not done on the points of what we want to do in the reform. It is funny the fact that if you look at the DP today, there are two colleagues, Alibeaj as co-chairman and Çollak as a member, on the other hand, Bardhi-Berisha are the majority in numbers. They are not in the minority in the commission, the fact that they say this is malicious", added Agalliu in Report TV.
