The Assembly will meet on Monday in plenary session to continue with the agenda of Thursday, when Parliament suspended its proceedings due to tensions created in the hall and an attempt by Flamur Noka (PD) to hit Taulant Balla, Minister of State, with a water bottle.
In Monday's session, which is expected to start at 10:00, the Assembly is expected to approve an agreed draft regarding amendments to the Electoral Code regarding the Diaspora vote. The amendments include the payment of postage for the return of the diaspora vote, its counting by political commissioners and the approaching March 12 deadline for the registration of parties and candidates.
The Assembly is also expected to vote on the dismissal of the members of the Board of Directors of the Albanian Radio and Television, headed by Leka Bungo and the 9 members, Ilir Keko, Albert Minga, Dionis Papadhimitri, Ëngjëll Ndocaj, Edmond Tullumani, Mevlan Shanaj, Milena Selimi and Ardita Reci.
It is not known whether the tensions and clashes carried over from Thursday will continue in Monday's session, or whether the parties will simply vote on the agreed points. What is known so far is the fact that unlike previous situations of clashes when the SP parliamentary group demanded punishments for opposition MPs, for the episodes of the last session, no measures were requested.
