Catastrophic floods in Greece, Rama: Albanians in the affected areas should

Prime Minister Rama has reacted after the floods that caused 14 victims in Greece and left behind huge damages. Rama expressed his condolences to the families of the people who lost their lives from this natural disaster.

Also, Rama made an important announcement for all Albanian citizens who are in the affected areas.

The head of government said that they can contact the Civil Emergency Management Unit of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection of Greece, on the activated phone number 112, which has been made available to citizens who need help.

Likewise, Rama emphasizes that Albanian citizens can also contact our Embassy in Athens through the emergency number 00030-6941658183 available to citizens 24/7 and at the email address.

"The devastating floods in many regions of Greece have caused loss of life and great damage. Deep regret for the lives lost, fraternal condolences to their families and wholehearted solidarity with all those affected by this extraordinary natural disaster.

We recall that the number of victims from the devastating floods that hit Greece has reached 14.

Local media reports that a man and his mother who were declared missing, have been found dead in the area of ​​Metamorfos, in Kardica.

A 58-year-old missing man from Agios Dimitrios was also found this morning. The man was listed as missing since yesterday, September 9. He was found today by a drone between the areas of Agios Dimitrios and Petrino. Yesterday, the body of a man was found in the marine area of ​​Turkoneri in Evia, who was identified as a 77-year-old man who disappeared due to bad weather from the Paltsi area of ​​Pelion.

A total of 4,250 people were rescued and evacuated. The water level in some of the affected areas of Thessaly is slowly receding, revealing the disasters left behind by the bad weather "Daniel". Towns and villages remain under tons of water and mud, the road network in many places has collapsed, bridges have split in two, houses have collapsed and the Thessalian plain has turned into a giant lake, where thousands of citizens have been displaced from their homes.
