Prime Minister Rama said that if Albania joins the European Union, our country's position will change.
In a meeting where the focus was on road and highway infrastructure, Rama once again emphasized the importance of Albania's entry into the EU as, according to him, there will be economic assistance to advance projects and investments.
Metaphorically, the head of government said that in relation to the EU, Albania is "like a groom in love who wants to join a rich family, but the daughter has doubts and invites you to lunch with her parents."
"Today we are like those lovers who are in love, but she looks at you with suspicion. She invites you to her parents' house on Sunday, you dress up, fix yourself, beautify yourself as much as you can, you go there and try to behave well, etc. Then she goes out and waits the next Sunday. She waits, like you did for your future mother-in-law and father-in-law, what your future sister-in-law said. This is terrible. Of course they are a rich family, you are dignified, but…sss…the moment you go in there and your father-in-law and mother-in-law say you will take over this part of our company, you passed and became a shareholder. Then you go and say, oh my, don't invite me on Sunday because I don't have time. So we have to fight for this and we have to make this happen and I am convinced that we will make it happen," said Rama.
