The deputy of the Democratic Party Agron Gjekmarkaj said that the current government is using a faction of the opposition to carry out the electoral reform and leaves aside the majority in the opposition.
According to him, from yesterday the opposition should raise questions about what position the opposition should take for the President of the Republic.
"Electoral reform for 33 years has been done with the one you have an opponent, because you can use a court paper and it is not ethical while the opposition majority on the other side uses an opposition faction that has openly announced cooperation with the government as the only option to survive politically.
As long as there is no reflection from the advice of internationals on the part of the government to find a space where we can return to the Parliament and express our options, we are forced to resist. The form is a way of expressing the despair of the state of parliamentarism. None of us would want to. I support colleagues, but I find it difficult to engage in some actions of a physical nature.
The opposition should have won in Albania in 1945, but lost and was crushed by force. I am not drawing parallels like then, but there are signs that oppositionism is endangered. The President of the Republic was invited by the majority and used for diversion. From yesterday, we have to raise the question of what kind of relationship we should have with the President as an institution and not as an individual. The first provocation was made by the majority by inviting him, the second provocation was made by him by accepting it.
