Lawyer Arben Llangozi commented on SPAK's request to the Assembly for the removal of immunity from former Prime Minister Sali Berisha in order to pave the way for the imposition of the security measure "prison arrest" or "house arrest".
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Llangozi emphasized that Sali Berisha was a bad example for the citizens, adding that he behaved like a gangster with the Court's decisions.
Among other things, he expressed his conviction that the Court will decide on Berisha the security measure "Prison".
"We have predicted this, we said that the security measures will be tightened, and here the day has come. With the decisions of the Court, you cannot become a gangster, and Berisha somehow became a gangster with the law. Rightfully, the Special Prosecutor's Office is putting in place the legal authority for which Berisha was created, it was a bad example not only for itself but also for the citizens.
SPAK has left the option open and I think that it will not cost anything to determine the measure of imprisonment. I am convinced that SPAK will set a measure of "prison arrest" because it has been harsh against SPAK, not that it will act as a sign of revenge, but he himself has said that he will hold a public trial when at this moment we have investigative secrecy . I believe that Berisha willy-nilly is violating investigative secrecy ," said lawyer Llangozi.
