Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that Albania will work tirelessly to move forward, towards the facilitation of transport and the digital market.
He said that the application for the digitization of the common market will be ready in June, thus enabling the reduction of waiting hours for trucks at customs.
Rama said that if the requirements for the common payment area are fulfilled, the fees of our citizens to bring money to their homes will be reduced by 6 times.
"We must offer tangible results. There are several conditions that must be met if we want to receive additional funds from the Growth Plan. In Tirana we need a new reform plan. The involvement of other actors, critical to fulfill the goals of the process. We have made progress for the justice system, but much remains to be done to be at the level of the EU. The commissioner will further elaborate on what is in the new growth plan for our countries and what we must do to get it. Albania is ready for this challenging exercise.
We will work with others to ease the way. If we fulfill the criteria for the European payment area, we will reduce by 6 times the fees for Albanians abroad to send money to their families. Our ambition as Albania is to be ready in June for the application. We aim to reduce the waiting time of trucks at customs by 3 hours!", said Rama.
