In a survey conducted by an American political institute among SP militants and voters, it turns out that Edi Rama is losing support within the party that keeps him in power. The Socialists see Rama as disconnected from the base, distanced from the structures and incapable of taking responsibility. Erion Veliaj and Belinda Balluku are ranked the most trusted on the ground, while the militants demand that the SP protect its figures from SPAK attacks.
For several days, an internal survey conducted by one of the most well-known American political institutes has been circulating within the ranks of the Socialist Party, which has caused serious concern in the pink headquarters.
At first glance, it is not a classic electoral survey with “yes” or “no” questions, but a psychological study of the political temperature within the majority; a test of the perception that the socialists themselves have of their leadership.
The results are clear and alarming for the prime minister:
Edi Rama has lost the trust of the Socialist Party base, especially active militants.
According to the report, the socialists see Rama as “cold, distant and closed in a small circle of people with no connection to the real party structures”.
A large part of those questioned have admitted that they “have not seen Rama in any organizational meeting of the party”, while the recent meetings have been described as “centrally directed shows”, controlled down to the last detail by the prime minister.
On the other hand, Erion Veliaj and Belinda Balluku are ranked as the most liked and closest figures to the socialist electorate.
In most regions, especially in Tirana and the south, they are perceived as “more humane and accessible politicians than Rama”.
In fact, a significant part of the militants consider the investigations against them as a “political attack”, demanding that the SP publicly defend them instead of isolating them.
The answers show that the socialist base no longer sees Rama as the party’s political shield, but as a figure who only preserves his personal image.
An interesting element of the survey is the comparison with opposition leaders.
Socialists surveyed praise Sali Berisha for “protecting his people,” while Rama is perceived as someone who “sacrifices his associates to save himself.”
This contrast is cited by many as the reason why militants have begun to lose motivation to publicly defend the government, even as the opposition remains weak and divided.
The survey does not only include the SP, but also the opposition camp.
In the DP, there is also a loss of confidence in Berisha's leadership, but among the Socialists, the disappointment with Rama is deeper because it is related to the perception of a government that does not listen, does not reward and does not hold accountable.
The final report, which is circulating in diplomatic circles in Tirana, summarizes the situation in a single sentence:
“The Albanian political leadership is disconnected from the people, and trust in current figures is in irreversible decline.”
In the analysis attached to the section on the SP, it is emphasized that for the first time since 2013, Edi Rama no longer has moral control over the party base.
In the main cities, militants consider the prime minister “far from the structures and uninterested in the people who gave him victory”.
In the suburbs, this feeling is even stronger: the SP is seen as a cold administration, not as a political family.
According to sources within the majority, Edi Rama is fully aware of this poll.
It is for this reason that in the last elections he came first on the list in the Tirana district, to restore the lost contact with the base, but the result was disappointing:
the PS received fewer votes than in the previous elections, and the victory was secured only thanks to the collapse of the opposition.
The institute's analysis also highlights a cultural factor: the Socialists have felt insulted by Rama's lack of gratitude for the structures that gave him victory.
This "emotional deficit," as the report calls it, has turned into "the most serious rift in the relationship between the leader and his party since 2013."
According to internationals, Rama is once again using his classic “victim” tactic, sacrificing the most vulnerable people to maintain power.
But, as the report notes, “this time, the effect may be the opposite”: the base is no longer willing to believe in the purges as a sign of morality, but reads them as a sign of fear and loss of control.
In conclusion, the survey is more than a statistical measurement; it is a diagnosis of the internal crisis of the SP.

Me cfare po dalin, njerezit i ka perfshire nje zemerim i thelle. Keta vetem shtojne vjedhjen dhe babezine. Cmimet ne stratosfere dhe ketu flaim per shporten. Cmimi i naftes me larte dhe se ne perendim. Zhvleresimi ekstrem e euros. Mos harrojme qe e ardhura kryesore e familjeve shqiptare eshte emigracioni. Mungesa e ujit te pijshem qe sa vjen dhe po behet me e perhapur dhe shqetesuese ne Tirane, cmimet e apartamenteve te pakapshme e shume te tjera. Kjo qeverisje nuk eshte parti, eshte sekt. As nuk do tia di per te dobtin per te varferin. Tashme i eshte cjerr fare maska, i ka dal bytha jashte e gjitha ne publik. Vidhen me nje dore te pakten 50 mln eu, kryeministri as merr mundimin te prononcohet, shmanget fshihet si struci. Ky eshte fundi, nje fund i turpshem pa dinjitet. Imazh i zgerlaqur qe tregon dhe njehere qe kete vend ne menyre te vazhdueshme e qeverisin njerez jo patriot te papergjegkshem te zhytur ne llumin e korrupsionit. I kemi rene ne qafe Enver Hoxhes. Ndertoi shtet dhe ishin idealist dhe e donin vendin. Keta jane ca spurdhjaker letyra hale ne kuptimin e plote te fjales.
Nuk besoj qe Rama ka humbur kontrollin e Partise. Patjeter ka pakenaqesi te brendshme, por Ramen e kane nje ombrelle te mire akomaaa.Nuk rrezikohet pushteti i Rames brenda PS. Ajo mund te ndodhte nese do kish burra dhe burrnesha ne qeveris. Aty ka vetem ca matrapaz te rendomt pa asnje ideal. Por per sh pak kohe, sepse duket qarte qe i ka mbaruar cikli socialisteve. Me renien e Rames socialistet me shume leke, do hane kokat e njeri tjetrit. Do shikojme cudira.
Per mendimin tim Rama nuk ka pasur kurre lidhje shpirterore me shqiptaret dhe varferine ose hallet e tyre.Ka qene shume i zzoti si manipulator po keshtu ne blerjen e oligarkeve dhe opozites.Familjaret e socialisteve duhet te kenaqeshin me nje vend ne IKMT, nje vend ne policine bashkiake, etj qe i ka bere dhe me te urryer per popullin. Vjedh jo sa per 40 por sa per mijra hajdute dhe shikon perversitetin e tij. Ka fat Sali kermen.
Partia Socialiste ka vdekur diten kur nderroi jete Dritero Agolli. I fundit fare ishte Petrol Koçi, i cili pati guximin të largohej nga rrjeta e merimanges e quajtur PS. Rama komandon vetem njerez të tredhur. Njejte, edhe Rama eshte i tredhur para perfaqesuesve të atyre qe luftojne të shkaterrojne familjen e shoqerine.
