Kosovo's acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has spoken again about the impasse that has been brewing in the Assembly for several months. He said that the LDK rejected the request for a coalition and after that, the impasse in Parliament over the constitution of the Assembly continued.
"I sent a letter to the LDK leader, if I'm not mistaken, on May 5, but it was rejected and then the impasse in the constitution of the Assembly continued. We lost a lot of time, and I have to say, all those months," Kurti told Albradio in Switzerland.
"They did not accept Albulena Haxhiu, they did not accept the secret ballot, they did not accept Donika Gërvalla as Speaker of the Parliament, they did not accept Hekuran Murat, they did not accept Arbërie Nagavci, they accepted Dimal Basha for the second time," Kurti added.
He also spoke about the failure to elect the Government, as he did not have the necessary 61 votes.
"Then we came to the election of the government, I did not get the necessary votes, I was five MPs short, instead of 61 we had 56, but we wanted to do our best to avoid repeating the elections. We also offered the second name, Glauk Konjufca, but he also only got 56 votes," Kurti declared.
