The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has reacted to the issue of the dinar that will be decided these days.
Osmani emphasizes that by stopping the circulation of the dinar, the Constitution is respected, but a solution must be found to give them time to accommodate.
"We have not been able to discuss this... about the dinar. It is unfortunate that it has not been implemented so far. CBK has done its job.
A number of options are being discussed which, on the one hand, would respect the Constitution and give a deadline for information...
One such example is the license plate issue.. the allies have asked for their postponement… this is a similar problem.
I believe that how these issues will be realized in practice, there will be an agreement these two days and we will also have public statements. I am for full implementation and not only on paper, and everyone knows that full implementation requires the support of allies. The discussion is still ongoing and I am convinced that a solution will be found and that will enable our Constitution to be implemented. The allies are not against our constitution", said Osmani.
The Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank of Kosovo, Bashkim Nurboja, has said that the postponement of the implementation of the regulation, which excludes the dinar as a currency for conducting transactions in Kosovo, is being discussed.
Nurboja said that the suspension will not happen in any way.
