The match began with a rare moment for Harry Kane. In the 36th minute, the English striker missed a penalty, ending a streak of 24 consecutive penalties converted into goals in the German championship. The first half ended goalless.
The game-deciding moment came in the 56th minute. Michael Oliseh scored a superb goal with a powerful shot from the edge of the area, giving Bayern the lead.
Despite the home team's efforts, the score remained unchanged until the end and Bayern gained an important moral victory after their European elimination.
On the other hand, Wolfsburg remains in 16th place with 26 points and everything will be decided in the final week. The team will face St. Pauli in a direct duel for survival. The winner will secure a place in the play-out, while the loser will join Heidenheim in Bundesliga 2.
