Albanian international striker Armando Broja is close to returning to action after a month out with a hamstring injury, Burnley manager Scott Parker has confirmed. The player has resumed training and is following a light programme to fully recover.
In a statement to the media, Parker emphasized that Broja is on the right track to return to the team's availability.
" Armando is training again, but only with light training. He is on the right track. We will see where we are again at the weekend ," said the Burnley coach.
Initially, in February, it was reported that the striker's absence was a technical decision by coach Parker. However, it was later revealed that Broja was dealing with an injury that has kept him out of several Premier League games.
According to predictions, his return to the field could happen on March 21, in the transfer that Burnley will make against Fulham.
Such a return would also be good news for the Albanian national team, as Broja is expected to be available for the match against Poland. The Reds are currently facing a shortage in the attack department, as Rei Manaj and Mirlind Daku are also injured.
