The Albanian Football Federation would like to express its deep gratitude to all Albanian fans, for their exemplary behavior and exceptional support for the National Team during the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches.
The passion, energy and citizenship shown at "Air Albania" have been a testament to the new sports culture that we are building together in the country.
The obvious progress of the fans is also reflected in the official assessments of international institutions. For the Albania-England match, valid for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee imposed a symbolic fine of only 2,250 Swiss francs, due to an isolated incident.
This decision is a clear indication of significant improvement, especially compared to the severe sentences of previous years. Incidents have been minimal and the general public attitude has been assessed as positive.
Albania is currently ranked 50th in the UEFA Fair Play ranking, a position that demonstrates progress, but which also motivates us to aim higher. The Albanian Football Association believes that Albanian fans deserve to be at the top of this ranking and is convinced that, through mutual cooperation and continuous awareness, this objective is fully achievable.
The Albanian Football Federation encourages all fans to continue to be an example of sportsmanship and correct support for the National Team, strengthening Albania's image in the international arena and contributing to a safe, civilized and positive atmosphere in every match.
