Serie A team receives shocking news on the eve of the new season, goalkeeper punished for match-fixing

Maduka Okoje has been banned for two months for match-fixing. The Udinese goalkeeper will remain suspended until the start of Serie A.

The Italian club has yet to react to the shocking news. The investigation was related to betting and the International Federal Court, Disciplinary Section, made the decision official today.

No further details were given. And although it is not normal, such situations continue to occur in Italy.

Udinese signed the 25-year-old goalkeeper from Watford in 2023. The Nigerian international played 26 games last season alone.
