War, official Tirana: Albanians in Persian Gulf countries should be extra careful

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs calls on all Albanian citizens currently in the Persian Gulf countries to carefully follow the announcements and instructions of local authorities, due to recent developments in the region.

Through a post on social networks, the Ministry advises citizens to show increased caution, avoid unnecessary movements and stay in constant contact with the diplomatic and consular representations of the Republic of Albania in these countries.

"The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs advises Albanian citizens currently in the Persian Gulf countries to follow the announcements of local authorities, to show increased caution and to remain in constant contact with our diplomatic and consular representations," the announcement states.

The ministry has also left the contacts where Albanians can contact for any information, emergency or assistance. Meanwhile, this call from the ministry comes after recent developments where, following the US attacks, Iran hit US military bases in Qatar and Iraq with missiles.
