Pact with Italy for refugees, Spahiu: Within 10 years, 500 thousand foreigners will live in Albania

Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has spoken about the agreement signed between Albania and Italy for the management of immigrants.

He said that the Shengjin camp is not to be built due to EU policies, but even if it is built, this agreement is not a reason to worry, as they will be monitored and isolated.

He also said that after 10 years, 500,000 foreigners will live in Albania and this will happen as it is a market demand, so according to him the arrival of immigrants should not be seen "with a negative eye".

"Albania needs to increase competition and competition increases with a free global market. I make a public bet that after 10 years at least Albania will have 500,000 foreigners who will work and this is another problem. The agreement with Italy is to bring 3000 people who will be returned, they will not be allowed by law to leave the camp" , said Spahiu for "Euronews Albania".
