Rama and Evis Sala add 50 thousand to 1.5 million lek to hospitals, while 15% of the fund is again spent on laboratory concessions, dialysis and sterilization. Public health gets pennies, the oligarchs get millions.
With the review of the 2025 budget, the government has once again mocked citizens' needs for healthcare services, especially in city hospitals, but also in the 4 hospital centers of Tirana, by adding ridiculous funds.
In Decision No. 682, dated November 12, 2025, with the aim of financing hospital health services from the mandatory health care insurance scheme for the remaining 2 months of this year, the government has added 35 million lek as a total value for the 4 hospital centers in Tirana and 35 district hospitals.
This additional fund was requested by the Minister of Health, Evis Sala, and was approved by order of Prime Minister Edi Rama, making yet another mockery of chronic patients and citizens who go to hospitals.
But even in this ridiculous additional fund, Babloku has decided that 15% of the value of some of the regional hospitals will be given to the 3 Laboratory, Dialysis and Sterilization concessions, as a "gift" before the New Year, in addition to the amounts of over 13 million euros per year that each of these concessions receives.
Here's how much additional money has been given to hospitals.
After being appointed head of health, Evis Sala has stated several times that he has conducted a "study" that will modernize medical care services to citizens, significantly increasing healthcare funds for hospital centers and regional hospitals.
According to Babloku's "scientist study," the following funding increases have been made:
- "Mother Teresa" Hospital Center: 10.4 million lek
- "Queen Geraldine" Hospital: 846 thousand 300 lekë
- Trauma Hospital: 630 thousand lek
- "Shefqet Ndroqi" Hospital: 1.8 million lek
- "Memorial" Hospital – Fier: 670 thousand lek
While district hospitals:
- Shkodra: 1.4 million lek
- Durrës: 1.5 million lek
- Lezha: 723 thousand lek
- Gjirokaster: 537 thousand lek
- Puka: 204 thousand lek
- Bulqizë: 163 thousand lek
- Delvina: 70 thousand lek
- Malësi e Madhe: 50 thousand lek
- as well as other hospitals with minimal amounts.
These funds were conceived by Babloku and Minister Evis Sala, while the 4 healthcare concessions are given around 50 million euros each year./ Pamphlet
