A powerful fire engulfed a waste dump in the city of Kukës, in the Myq-Mamëz neighborhood, in the early hours of midnight.
Despite the efforts of firefighters, who have been working non-stop throughout the night with water jets, the fire has not yet been extinguished. Plumes of smoke have spread towards the city and surrounding areas, causing concern for residents due to air pollution.
This is the third consecutive time that the waste field has burned within the last three years, which has raised serious concerns about the management of the situation.
