A publication by the Iranian embassy in London has caused great concern among British authorities and the Iranian community in the diaspora, as it calls on Iranians living in the United Kingdom to register for an official program called "Jan Fada", which translates as "sacrifice of life".

According to the Daily Mail, the message published by embassy representatives encourages “proud Iranian compatriots living in Britain” to participate in the program. The call is addressed to “all brave and noble sons of Iran” who have a “desire to defend the homeland,” presenting participation as an expression of “solidarity, loyalty and national devotion.”

The content of the message has raised particular concerns. The Persian-language post on the embassy's official Telegram channel reads: "Let us give all our bodies to be sacrificed; for it is better than handing over our country to the enemy."

The “Jan Fada” program was launched last month. An embassy representative has stated that it “does not promote any form of hostility.” However, a similar initiative by the Iranian embassy in Canberra is being investigated by Australian authorities, with security experts warning of serious risks.

Roger McMillan, former security director of the Iran International network, called the situation worrying: "It is alarming that this is happening on British soil. This is an attempt to radicalize individuals online who could be pushed to act in favor of the Islamic Republic within the United Kingdom."

He stressed that this poses a threat to security and the way of life, adding that the initiative could be used to identify regime supporters not to return them to Iran, but for action within Britain.

On the other hand, Dr. Nadeh Fala from the organization Iranian Human Rights & Allies called the development a “wake-up call,” calling on the British government to declare the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization. According to him, the IRGC is actively trying to radicalize and recruit individuals on British soil.

The developments come amid a tense security climate. Authorities are also examining possible Iranian links to recent incidents in London, including attacks on Jewish ambulances and an arson attack on a synagogue, for which a group linked to Tehran has claimed responsibility.

In this context, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has promised to include the IRGC on the list of terrorist organizations, although the relevant legislation has not yet been passed.

Meanwhile, the Iranian embassy in London has defended the program, stating that it is aimed at Iranians who want to support their country and "does not promote any form of hostility," while describing the criticism as unfounded and influenced by prejudice.
