United States President Donald Trump has declared that the US is winning the confrontation with Iran and that the country's military capabilities have been severely damaged.
In a public response, Trump said that Iranian military infrastructure has been significantly hit since the start of the conflict, citing the destruction of missiles, drones and other elements of the arsenal.
At the same time, the US president hinted that military operations could continue. He used harsh tones towards the Iranian regime, warning that Iran should “look what happens to these crazy villains.”
Trump also reacted to reports by several American media outlets, particularly attacking The New York Times, which he accused of presenting a false picture of developments in the conflict.
According to him, the US military has complete military superiority and is equipped with "unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition and ample time" to continue operations.
“We are completely destroying the terrorist regime of Iran, militarily, economically and otherwise, yet if you read the Failed New York Times, you would mistakenly think we are not winning. Iran’s Navy is gone, their Air Force is gone, their missiles, drones and everything else are being destroyed and their leaders are wiped off the face of the earth. We have unmatched firepower, unlimited ammunition and plenty of time - Look what is happening to these crazy bastards today. They have been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What a great honor it is to do so!” Trump wrote on Social Truth.
