Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, during an interview, said that Russia is ready for talks, but the US does not want to.
He said that the US authorities are aware of Vladimir Putin's messages, but have no political will to conduct negotiations.
"The American authorities are aware of all the main messages of Vladimir Putin, but currently there is neither desire nor political will to conduct negotiations on the part of the USA" , Peskov told "TASS".
Asked if Putin's interview with Tucker Carlson will help convey Moscow's position in Washington, he said the US is aware of Russia's position.
"The American authorities are aware of our position, they are aware of all the main messages of Putin. They are aware of how he handles various issues and what he does. This is not a matter of knowledge, but a matter of desire. A desire to do something to enter the path of negotiation. Until now, we have not registered such a desire and political will in the USA", declared Peskov.
