Much of Europe is facing a severe heatwave, with temperatures consistently above 40 degrees and many countries have sounded the alarm.
The heatwave is ongoing with forecasts indicating temperatures will reach 47 degrees Celsius in the Iberian Peninsula.
France, Spain, Italy and Portugal are the countries where the situation resembles an oven.
Since Friday in Spain the situation has become unbearable and forecasts indicate that high temperatures will continue until Tuesday, which are expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius.
In Portugal, authorities issued an orange warning for extremely high temperatures over the weekend.
Temperatures in Lisbon and central Portugal are forecast to exceed 42 degrees Celsius by Sunday.
France is also gripped by a heatwave, with temperatures in the south of the country expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius in some areas.
Authorities have issued a severe fire warning and an orange alert for extreme heat in 14 regions across central and southeastern France for Saturday.
The situation is expected to be more difficult on Sunday.
Italy is also in the "oven" with temperatures expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius in some areas, according to authorities.
