Two Turkish citizens were involved in a conflict that ended with shooting and the injury of one of them.
A Turkish citizen was injured this evening in the Sauk area of Tirana after a gunshot incident. He was immediately transported to a private hospital for medical attention.
Preliminary information indicates that the injured person suffered a wound to the shoulder. Doctors have stabilized his condition and his life is out of danger.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the collision occurred after a momentary conflict between two people. Authorities suspect that the person who fired the shot is also a Turkish citizen. A firearm was used at the scene, suspected to be a pistol.
Police structures are collecting evidence and working to fully identify the perpetrator and clarify the circumstances of the incident.
"On 09.03.2026, at around 19:25, the Turkish foreign citizen H. U, 39 years old, was presented for treatment at the hospital, allegedly having been injured with a gunshot wound in a bar in Sauk.
"The 39-year-old is out of danger. The investigation team is working to identify and capture the perpetrator and fully clarify the circumstances of the case," the police announced.
