DP MP, Jozefina Topalli, has clarified the issue that, according to her, has caused debate over the election of the Ombudsman.
During her speech in the Assembly, Topalli emphasized that the forms submitted for candidates are not proposed as names of candidacies, but as expressions of support.
She emphasized that this situation makes it necessary to remove the issue from the Agenda.
"A deputy is not allowed to propose more than one name. The signature of each deputy is a political act and cannot reflect more than a political will on an issue, according to the provisions of the Rules of Procedure. There is no proposal in the session. Only a few supporting signatures have been submitted, not concrete proposals. Today there are no supporting signatures on this issue either. Therefore, it should be removed from the Agenda, as it is contrary to the Constitution," said Topalli.
