The Albanian-American activist, Evi Kokalari, has officially launched the Conservative Movement in Albania, with the slogan "Change starts today".
Kokalari explained that this movement aims first to change the political mentality in our country.
"Talking up and down Albania about the conservative doctrine is not the time. But one thing we have to do is change the mentality of how politics is done in Albania."
Kokalari did not hide that the Conservative Movement can turn into a party, aiming to offer Albanians a right-wing alternative to government in 2025.
"What I want to do is to gather 140 correct people, with strong character who have the right integrity, to enter the parliament. There are many people who say it can't be done, I say it can be done."
Activist Kokalari emphasized that the aim is to create a right-wing movement, explaining that one of the issues on which she was separated from Sali Berisha was the alliance with the Freedom Party and Ilir Meta.
"It is an insult to say we are returning to a conservative party, while you are making a coalition with a completely left-wing party."
Albanian-American activist Evi Kokalari became known on the Albanian political scene in the fall of 2021 when she sided with Sali Berisha in his battle against Lulzim Basha.
Kokalari took part in some of Berisha's meetings during the movement that took the name of the pulpit, as well as being a part of the meeting for the Rhythming of the DP.
Evi Kokalari began to criticize Sali Berisha for the way the PD voting for the new leadership team took place, accusing him of manipulation of the process, as well as severely criticizing Berisha's alliance with Ilir Meta.
