The member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Fitim Zekthi, spoke about the rejection of the draft law on Criminal Amnesty.
During this interview, Zekthi emphasized that this is a draft law where personal interests should not be included.
According to him, the Socialist Party seems more engaged with the draft, however, he emphasizes that there has been no transparency for the public regarding this draft law.
"It is about amnestying people who are being investigated for light cases or who have little time left to serve their sentence. But here there is no transparency, it is not known what happens. There is nothing clear, there are contradictory statements to the parties. Mr. Manaj did not present any concrete draft to clarify what is not included. But the parties only accuse each other. So Mr. Basha and Manja make accusations and counter-accusations. In the amnesty, it was requested to amnesty all those who participated in the protests", Zekthi told Abcnews.
