Albania, the 'factory' of the Moscow-Kiev war: benefits and risks!
Edi Rama and Volodymyr Zelensky /

"You have to wait for the Russian missiles", said Zekensky textually, which is real and not metaphorical, an inclusive logic of Albania in the war.

On the day of the American Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to Tirana, Edi Rama sealed what was being said under his breath. So that the country would turn into an ammunition factory for armaments.

As we have said on the pages of the Pamphlet since the day of Blinken's visit , it was not a 'free lunch' for Edi Rama, as neither was the visit of John Kerry in 2016, when Rama accepted all the Iranian Mujahideen from Iraq, or even in 2004, when Colin Powell came, and Albania approved the agreement that the Treaty of Rome should not be applied. So if an American soldier commits crimes in a territory outside the US, he cannot be tried by an international court.

Let's go back to the day of Blinken's arrival in Tirana; she was a 'head' behind Edi Rama's OK to start the production and storage of a large amount of ammunition in Albania for the Ukrainian army. Specifically, it is about 20 millimeter, 35 millimeter, 37 millimeter, 57 millimeter, 75 millimeter, 80 millimeter and 100 millimeter anti-aircraft cannon shells. 60 millimeter, 82 millimeter, 120 millimeter mortar shells. Shells of 75 millimeter anti-tank cannons, 120 millimeter howitzers, as well as machine gun ammunition so famous in Albania, 12.7.

In a word, Albania will soon start in Elbasan, to produce a quantity of ammunition, as in the peak of Enver's time. All these materials, which are considered important weapons to oppose the Russian war arsenal, were once produced in Albania in bulk, but were banned as part of the application program for NATO, where Albania should no longer produce Soviet and Chinese material. . Who were then taken out of the warehouses to supply the Afghan army, and that brought a business affair that involved the high spheres of power, from the great gluttony they blew up an entire village and killed 28 people, including children. in Gërdec.

To recapitulate the issue; militarily, Albania, which today is a country that will produce the ammunition that Ukraine needs.

The question that comes naturally is: why can't Ukraine produce these munitions in its own country, even though it is a large country with a developed military industry?

Ukraine actually produces a large amount of war munitions, but they are quite small compared to the amount that the Russian war industry manages to produce.

On the other hand, Russia from the beginning of the campaign against Ukraine has bombed and destroyed a large part of the war industry in Ukraine. But above all, most of Ukraine's military industry is located in the Donbas, the part now controlled by the Russians. Although a small area, it is the richest part of the country and the most coveted by the British, the Russians of course, but also the Ukrainians, who consider it part of their territorial integrity.

However, there are other NATO countries that have been major producers of Russian-style war materials, such as Poland, the Baltic countries, Bulgaria, Romania, or even Croatia, Montenegro and Macedonia.

Why did Albania give you this difficult task?

Poland is a country that is considered one of the hawks against Russia, even demanding a strong action, but Ukraine itself has not given any aircraft or ammunition. The same with the Baltic countries.

Bulgaria is the only country once associated with Moscow that has helped Ukraine with weapons, but after that Sofia's government fell, and to this day, the country has not had stability even though it has held several elections.

Romania, which has a direct stake because Russia has annexed Transnistria, a part of Moldova bordering it, is scared to death.

Why Albania then?

Referring to the famous movie 'Wag the dog', the answer is: "Why not?!"

But in reality, it still seems like we are stuck in the middle like a 'pilaf'.

Perhaps in the logic of an alliance, or loyalty with the USA, a debt we owe to the Americans, or even a protagonism in NATO, cannot be ruled out.

After all, the majority of the Albanian opinion protects Ukraine, but should someone inform the public, explain to them what it is about?

First of all, ask the Parliament of Albania, which is the country's sovereign institution, and perhaps the public in a kind of referendum. Because with this action, Albania becomes part of the war, which Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, and the Baltic countries refused to become part of. The President of Ukraine, Zelensky himself, said in the press conference with Edi Rama, quite clearly, that Albania could be a target of Russian attacks.

"You have to wait for the Russian missiles", said Zekensky textually, which is real and not metaphorical, an inclusive logic of Albania in the war.

But can Edi Rama decide this?

And finally, what does Albania benefit from this involvement?

Apparently, the one who benefits the most is Edi Rama, who seems to be seeking a fourth term as a "commander at war", while it is not known what the country benefits from. US sympathy? Why didn't Poland, the Baltic countries or even Romania and Bulgaria, which have received more direct aid, want this? Maybe in reality we are more protected than these countries, and it was up to Albania to keep this role, but not as a prize to win Edi Rama, but as a commitment of the whole country. So it looks like "goat meat".../ Pamphlet
