The US envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, gave an interview to the BBC where he talked about the situation in the north of Kosovo.
Escobar said that Kurti should withdraw the police from the municipal facilities and start work on establishing the Association.
"The court must withdraw the police from the municipal facilities, and urgently, urgently start the work for the work of the Association", said Escobar.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurtik, in an interview with the BBC, spoke about the tensions in the north of Kosovo.
Kurti says that the mayors are in their buildings and offices and will not leave there.
"In these three municipalities we have three municipal facilities and if not the mayors, who should be there. And if these municipalities are not for the mayors, what are they for? The presidents are in their offices, that's how it should be and stay. They are illegal structures influenced by Belgrade that want to destabilize our country. We want a democratic republic, and in these facilities we can reduce the number of police, but first the gangs that have attacked journalists, the police and KFOR must go to Serbia or to prison", Kurti said.
Kurti added that he cannot make compromises for the democratic Republic of Kosovo.
"He cannot make compromises for the democratic Republic, being the prime minister of the most democratic country in the Western Balkans, with the most professional police which is oriented towards the West", he said.
Kurti further added that Serbia does not allow Serbs in Kosovo to have more than one party.
"I have in my cabinet the Serbian minister Nenad Rasic, who does not belong to the party of Aleksandar Vucic and he is the most hated man in Serbia. Serbia does not allow political pluralism", said Kurti.
