Like many rulers in Albania, those in Kosovo are not bad either. The media in Pristina have exposed the wealth of President Vjosa Osmani.
The President has declared, together with her husband, an apartment purchased for over 59 thousand euros, a garage for 6,000 euros, a house for 170 thousand euros, land for 35 thousand euros, two residences - one joint - worth 190 thousand euros and the other for 510 thousand euros, purchased in Australia. In her name, Osmani has declared a land, which she purchased for 35 thousand euros in 2016.
In a statement released by the Corruption Prevention Agency on Wednesday, Osmani justified the purchase of property worth over half a million euros in Australia by saying that it was purchased with money from "the sale of the house in Australia owned by her husband, the sale of his parents' house (inheritance value), savings, and family loans."
She has also declared a car worth 10 thousand euros owned by her husband, as well as two loans, one for 40 thousand euros and the other for 16 thousand euros.
Her net annual salary is 33,104 euros, while she has benefited from per diems from official trips abroad of over 11,500 euros. Her husband had an annual salary of 11,068 euros, while the income from the rental of the house in Australia was 12,500 euros. Osman's husband has also benefited from a court decision at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of over 19 thousand euros.
