The captain of the Albanian national team, Berat Gjimshiti, says that there is a very good atmosphere in the team, ahead of the match against England.
At the press conference, where coach Silvinjo was also present, Gjimshiti said that the red and blacks will give everything on the field.
What atmosphere do you find after your absence from the National Team?
I found a very good atmosphere, a new spirit as there are some young talented players who improve the team. I saw in these training sessions that everyone gives everything on the field to achieve something we have never done before.
The World Cup?
Dreams do come true. They say that Albania would qualify for the European Championship twice before. I'm not hiding, I don't have to say that we are a smaller team than England. Let's give everything on the field and if we get a successful result, it would be even better.
How do you evaluate this match based on the strength of the opponent, how can the team present itself to face a team like England?
Their strength is known, but we shouldn't talk about their players individually, we see them every weekend on TV. The coach has told us what we have to do on the field and the team is ready to do everything. It's been a few days to prepare, but for so long we have prepared very well.
You may have the main burden, do you believe you will succeed?
As I said, individually we shouldn't talk too much. The team has a difficult job, not just Gjimshiti. As a team we have to stop England's attack as much as possible, which is a world-class attack. It won't be an individual duel, but a team duel. If we cope well, it will be difficult.
Against Jude Bellingham, you played against him before...
He is a fantastic player, I believe that there are very few talents like him and others. He is a talent among the best in the world, but I believe he can reach the peak of being the best footballer in the world from what I have seen in the matches with him.
Considering that England is the favorite, but as an Atalanta player, how much do you believe Albania can handle?
England, not only against us, but also in the World Cup and the European Championship, is favored to win. But England will not underestimate us, they have respect and know that we have done good things as a national team. They are professionals like us, in football you never know.
After your performance at the European Championship against strong teams, what can you bring to a match like this?
I believe that we did not face badly, we had a good European Championship. We had very strong opponents, of a world level, like England tomorrow. What we need to have is concentration, because if we look at the matches in the European Championship, like Italy and Croatia we conceded goals within 5 minutes. The most important thing is concentration, especially with opponents of this level, because they do damage very quickly.
How do you see this group, Albania's chances?
I believe it is too early to talk about the chances, but with time, after 4 games you can determine it better. But as I said earlier, we do not enter the field with the thought of not qualifying. It is important to give everything on the field and with time you grow as a team. We will see after 4 games our goal.
