On the 30th anniversary of cooperation between the Council of Europe and the Venice Commission with Albania, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that this commission has contributed to the implementation of the vetting process.
According to Rama, international experts in the field were against and skeptical of this process.
"Without the contribution of the Venice Commission, Albania would not have been able to undertake the vetting process. A key process in the justice reform."
A process, which I can honestly say has not returned with the same depth in any country that has attempted to carry out that process. A process that until that moment had opposition even in professional, international circles.
"The Venice Commission has gained the power to impose itself on all instances. I am witness to the fact that Venice's opinions are respected at every international level, related to issues related to the rule of law," he said.
